What We Do
At Autism Outreach Southern California we believe your child’s program should be unique! We use only research-based strategies to teach children the skills they need to be independent and successful at home, school, and in the community.
Our services include:
Early Start Program (Ages 12 months – 36 months)
The professionals at Autism Outreach Southern California understand how critical effective services are during these developmental years. Our early start program focuses on building strong foundational skills in the areas of communication, social/emotional, play, cognition, self-help, motor skills, and physical development. In addition to developmental milestones, special focus is dedicated to prerequisite and “ready to learn” skills such as attending and listening.
School Age Program (Ages 3-12)
The focus of the School Age Program is to continue to develop critical skills in the areas of communication, social/emotional, cognition, self-help, and behavior. An additional focus of the School Age Program is to reduce engagement in inappropriate behaviors by teaching socially appropriate, replacement behaviors. During this time the professionals at Autism Outreach Southern California will collaborate closely with your child’s school staff to ensure consistency for your child across home and school settings.
Teen Program (Ages 13-18)
Transition to an adult program is just around the corner! The primary goal of the Teen Program is to foster independent living and vocational skills. While communication will remain a priority during these years, additional skills of focus include community, leisure, functional academic, transitions, home, and vocational.
